Zenzele Counselling Project

We chose to support this incredible charity organisation based in Finetown by delivering R10 000’s worth of items from their wish list to the team.

Centre Manager Roselina Dhlamini is thankful for the donation which included a laptop, wheelbarrows, a printer, adjustable spray, five spades, four forks, compost, seeds, a hosepipe and compost.

“Your organisation has helped us so much. The gardening tools will help us get the garden up to a good standard. The laptop and printer will help us with our administrative duties, and we will use the wheelbarrows to take food to our two satellite sites.”

St Thomas Home for Children

Staff members at our Charity Match St Thomas Home for Children in Durban were thrilled to receive R10 000’s worth of items from their wish list. The purple team visited them to deliver a bar fridge, electrical kettle, microwave, two kitchen sinks, six boxes of surgical gloves and 54 raincoats!

Marie-Therese Naidoo a Social Worker and Manager at St Thomas was grateful for this much-needed donation. “Thank you so much for everything you’ve given us! These raincoats will help keep our children dry and comfortable when they have to go out to school in the rain. We use the surgical gloves every day when we treat our kids because about 20% of them are chronically ill. The rest of the items will be used to improve our facilities,” she said.

Gift of the Givers

We recently donated R20 000 towards the Cape Town water crisis through the Gift of the Givers foundation. They are doing their best to help the city during this difficult time, and this money will be used to purchase 10 000 litres of water! The water will be put to good use going to centres like disabled homes, old age homes, children’s homes, hospitals etc.

Emily Thomas, Project Coordinator at Gift of the Givers, is grateful for this generous donation. “It’s amazing how people can pull together to donate to the plight of another province or person. Currently the people in Cape Town are severely restricted when it comes to their water use and because water is a basic need it’s important to support centres that need it. Thank you!”
